College of Information Technology

The College of Information Technology sets up six departments, one section, five institutions: Department of Information Technology, Department of Computer Science & Technology, Department of Information Management, Department of Electronic Information Engineering, Department of Intelligent Information Engineering, Department of Software Engineering, Experiment and Teaching Section, Computer Application Lab, Multi-media Applied Technology Academic Institution, Intelligent Information Technology Application Academic Institution, Information Technology Education Academic Institution, Information Management and E-commerce Academic Institution respectively.

There are more than 90 staff members and over 1,000 undergraduates and post-graduates. There are now two majors for post-graduate and one independent field for post-graduate, six majors for graduate (eight fields). The two majors for post-graduate are Computer Application Technology and Communication and Information System while the independent one refers to Computer Education. The six majors for graduate cover Computer Science and Technology (normal), Computer Science and Technology, Information Management and Information System (including two fields of information management and e-commerce), Electronic Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Engineering (including two fields of intelligent information engineering, network and communication engineering). It enjoys an excellent, comprehensive environment for the cultivation of talents devoted to majors relating to informatization. The short-term development is to speed up development rate, to further promote cultivation environment, to adapt to the informatization construction of Beijing, to serve information technology education of Beijing and to upgrade itself to be the first class teaching & research-oriented engineering college among all other normal universities of China.
