a diploma integrating graduate and college degrees. A cultivation
mode of four year Russian plus three year English is employed
in the Department of Russian Language. Moreover, linguistics
and Applied Linguistics Academic Institution is also set up.
Fresh students over 300 both in liberal arts and science are
enrolled each year.
The college is equipped with a team of teachers with rich
experiences, good studying habits
and creativity. Among 125 full-time teachers, those with a
title of associate professor and above account for 52 percent,
those with Master's degrees 65.6 percent. Moreover, a good
many foreign specialists (from British, Russia, Japan, France,
Germany and Spain) are invited on long-term basis to give
lectures, and favorable teaching environment and large amount
of books and video materials are provided, including advanced
teaching hardware facilities and conditions, such as satellite
receiving device, simultaneous interpretation facility-equipped
multi-purpose academic reporting hall, computerized multi-media
room, phonetics room, teachers' reading room and students'
reading room, etc. The college will, during the 10th Five
Year Plan, through teaching and scientific research activities,
form, step by step, a teaching and scientific research group
rationally structured with full-time and part-time teachers
and headed by professors, specialists and scholars to cultivate
more and better English teachers for Beijing Municipality
as well as foreign language talents needed by every field.
