Middle School Affiliated to Capital Normal University grew
out of Chengda Middle School which was established in 1914.
The middle school was named Chengda after the founder's good
wish to make our country strong and prosperous with talents
and virtue of youth.
Over 80 years, generations of patriotic intellectuals who
made earnest efforts to China's education have devoted themselves
to educating students everywhere, following the ideal of former
virtuous people. We may say with pride that, from its foundation,
the middle school always has shared a common fate with our
country and made great contributions to Chinese progress and
national rejuvenation. Style and tradition of the middle school
came into being from hardworking, wisdom and care of previous
generations. All these reflect in our school's motto, that
is, self-consciousness, diligence, pursuing of reality and
creativity.

Aiming at running a modern and demonstrative school and educating
outstanding talents in the new century, we strive to promote
our school to a modern, high quality, featured, experimental
and demonstrative one, which will rank first in Beijing and
turn out to be a window school throughout the country so as
to make all our efforts to foster talents for Beijing economy
