Capital Normal University currently has 1,162 full-time teachers. Among them there are 167 professors (including researchers), 469 associate professors (including associate researchers), 389 docents, 5 academicians of The Chinese Academy of Sciences and The Chinese Academy of Engineering Sciences, 8 specially-employed professors, 75 tutors for doctoral students, and 301 tutors for graduate students, 1 member of the State Council Degree Committee Subject Review Group, and 4 committeemen of the Subject Teaching Directing Committee, Ministry of Education. Among the teachers, 205 possess a doctor's degree and 394 a master's degree, accounting for 51.5% of the total number. In addition, there are also 13 foreign teachers, among which are 2 doctors and 5 masters.
The university has a batch of experts and scholars who are famous at home and abroad, and a lot of middle-aged and young excellent backbone teachers.
Among them, 1 gets the subsidy of the State Excellent Youth Fund, 1 wins the Prize of the Ministry of Education for College and University Young Teachers, 1 is listed in the Trans-Century Talents Cultivation Plan of the Ministry of Education, 9 enjoy the College and University Backbone Teachers Subsidy of the Ministry of Education.In the above 9 teachers, 2 have won the College and University Excellent Backbone Teachers Prize, and 4 are listed in the Excellent Young Teacher Subsidy Plan of the Ministry of Education. There are 80 excellent young backbone teachers and 44 School-level Trans-century Young Subject Leaders. These teachers have become the backbone of the university in teaching, scientific research, talent cultivation and technological development.
