Introduction to the specialties offering master's degree under
the Computer Application Joint Laboratory

Computer Application Joint Laboratory was established by Capital Normal University together with the State Intelligent Computer Research and Development Center in December 1997. After being established, the laboratory has successfully accomplished two state "863" plan high-tech topics and one preparative topics, one topic of the President Innovation Fund of Chinese Academy of Sciences, one topic of the National Natural Science Fund ---- high performance computer, one brainstorm topic of the state 9th five-year plan, and several state-level topics and two transversal scientific research topics, and has published more than then academic articles. Currently the laboratory possesses over 3 million yuan of fixed assets and an area of more than 500m2, and has developed not a few high-tech products and cultivated a batch of masters, doctors and young scientific researchers. Meanwhile, based on the laboratory, the Chinese Associate of Science and Technology and Beijing Municipal Committee for Callan's Scientific Activities have established the Information Technology Cultivation Base for Scientific and Technical Backup Talents and the Academic Directing Center. The laboratory also can recruit postdoctoral researchers depending on projects, and currently it is being engaged in network, software, hardware, and other computer application studies.
